Full Service Lab:

We have the areas only on sight, full service laboratory. This laboratory allows us to process your lenses right here in our own store. In the lab, we gather information about processing your lenses from three sources. First, we get the prescription information that Dr. Cook or your own Optometrist or Ophthalmologist gets from your comprehensive eye exam. Secondly, we measure your pupilary distance (PD) and segment height (if you wear bifocals) from your facial features. Thirdly, we get the sizes from the frame you have chosen. We enter all this information into the computer and it tells us what curve to run you lenses on to get the exact prescription the doctor has ordered. We then cut your lenses, grind them, and polish your lenses to exacting standards. The lenses are then checked for accuracy and edged with our computerized edger to fit the frame you have chosen. A final inspection is made to verify the correct prescription, bifocal heights (if one is needed) and correct PD. Once all this information is verified, your glasses are delivered to you by Rick or Larry. Most prescriptions can be finished the same day.
