For most adults, the American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends getting a comprehensive eye exam at least every two years. However, individuals with certain risk factors or those over 60 may need annual exams.

What is the difference between an optometrist and ophthalmologist?

What is the difference between an optician and an optometrist?

An optician is a technician who dispenses eyeglasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions from an eye doctor (optometrist or ophthalmologist), while an optometrist is a doctor who diagnoses and treats vision problems.


What is a pupillary distance (PD)

Pupillary distance is the measurement of the distance between the centers of you pupils, which is needed for accurate lens placement.
